Wait, but what even is a nudibranch?
A nudibranch (pronounced new-dih-brank) is a tiny, technicolored sea slug! Known for their various whimsical shapes and cartoonish colors, these miniature ocean clowns symbolize exploration and beauty in unexpected places.
Our shop is also meant to surprise and delight. It’s a fitting name for a space that invites you to try something new – and feel right at home doing it.
When you’re ready for something new...
you go and get it.
Our founding members took matters into their own hands, booking tickets to Thailand to meet with potential farming partners face-to-face.
They returned to Seattle with a newfound partnership.
Thai coffee is still rare in North America but is part of a growing worldwide coffee movement.
Nudibranch is on the front lines of this movement as the only American coffee shop to offer our beans.
While in Thailand, we learned a few tricks and discovered drinks we had never heard of.
At Nudibranch you will see new techniques: americanos built on juice, lattes flavored with herbs and flowers, drinks topped with salty vegan cold foam or tangy strawberry.
This is not your traditional coffee shop. This is a place to be surprised.

These beans are ethically sourced, shipped to the Emerald City and then roasted locally by our friends at Kuma Coffee.
Nudibranch prioritizes a work environment that is fair and ethical for everyone involved, from our farmer friends in Thailand to the team of roasters at Kuma and ending finally in your morning cup of coffee.
We know that the best way to offer you beans you can show off to your friends is to treat our people fairly each step of the way.
